    Every impression, plotted

Every dot is 500 times Google showed this site to someone. The bright ones converted. At an average position of 15, most of this field is sitting on page two — which is the point.

Field of 1,004 dots. Each dot represents 500 impressions, for 502,000 impressions in total. 3 highlighted dots represent the 1,220 clicks captured, at an average position of 15.

    The starting point

Eight pages, no blog, thirteen clicks.

Before we started, wolverine-llc.com had 8 indexed pages and no blog at all — a services site and nothing behind it.

Organic search brought in 13 clicks. Not 13 a day, or 13 a week: 13 in total. There was no content to rank, so there was nothing for Google to show.

    02

    What we ran

Keywords from their own positioning, published daily.

We generated a keyword set from the company's own positioning — what it actually assembles, warehouses and ships, and the terms buyers use for it. The engine then wrote long-form articles against those keywords and published them straight to the site with on-page SEO applied: titles, meta descriptions, headings, internal links and schema.

    The rank ladder

One dotted line left to cross.

Half a million impressions are already being served from position 15. The work from here is moving queries across that dotted line.
